About the Founder
Ethan Beardsworth owns Chase Your Sky, and here’s his story: As with many people, the pandemic changed Ethan’s life. Working from home in the Investment Management industry, he put on a lot of weight. Again, this is something that many of us experienced. Unfortunately for him, this combination of a poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle led to some severe health problems. Ethan developed hypertension and sleep apnea and would get winded after walking for a block or so.
Something had to change. Ethan started small so as not to get discouraged. He began walking daily, trying to do a little more than the previous day. Such a simple thing as walking, something many of us take for granted, was not easy, but he kept at it. Ethan began tracking his progress and ensuring he walked more than the day before to keep himself motivated.
Progress was slow at first, and his body hurt, all of it. Ethan listened to audiobooks to help keep himself motivated, which worked for a while. However, when listening to these books, he felt he was missing out on experiencing his surroundings. To try something new, Ethan began taking photos. Like the walking, progress started slow, and his photography was not great. He was, however, enjoying himself, and focusing on his surroundings gave him a greater sense of connectedness to nature.
Meet the constellation of people, animals, and stories that light the way.
Chase Your Sky is carried by the journeys of Ethan, Chad, Blessing, and The Duchess. Each story is a lantern in our constellation — together they light the way for others to chase their sky.
Ethan founded Chase Your Sky out of a personal journey of transformation. Like many, the pandemic reshaped his life, and working from home in the investment management industry led to weight gain and health challenges. Hypertension, sleep apnea, and even struggling to walk a single block became daily reminders that something had to change.
He started small — walking each day, adding just a little more distance than the day before. Progress was slow, and his body ached, but the ritual of movement became a checkpoint he could return to. To stay motivated, Ethan listened to audiobooks and later began taking photos on his walks. Photography gave him a new way to connect with his surroundings, turning each step into both exercise and exploration.
Over the course of a year, Ethan lost nearly 90 pounds, regained his energy, and sharpened his eye for capturing the sky. Early mornings became his golden hours, sneaking in miles before work while chasing light and color. One morning, lost in walking and photographing, he wandered far from home and laughed with his mother about being “lost chasing the sky.” That phrase became more than a joke — it became the spark for Chase Your Sky.
Alongside this journey, Ethan found inspiration in his cat, The Duchess. Her playful chaos and quiet companionship became part of the lore, reminding him that resilience is balanced by joy, and discipline by delight. She remains a muse for the motifs and rituals woven into Chase Your Sky.
Today, Ethan blends discipline with play, wellness with creativity, and personal growth with collective momentum. His vision for Chase Your Sky is simple: to help others find their own checkpoints, celebrate their progress, and keep chasing the sky.

Chad
Chad has always carried a spirit of resilience and camaraderie. Lifelong friendships and shared adventures shaped his early years, laying the foundation for the community-driven ethos he brings to Chase Your Sky today.
His path took him through four years of service in the United States Marine Corps infantry, where he forged bonds of brotherhood and learned firsthand the cost of discipline and endurance. The physical toll of that chapter left lasting challenges, but it also sparked his determination to rebuild strength and wellness in new ways.
At Chase Your Sky, Chad channels those lessons into frameworks that help others transform setbacks into renewal. He believes wellness is not just about movement or nutrition, but about cultivating energy, connection, and joy in everyday life.
Outside of work, Chad finds balance in the rituals that keep him grounded: spending time outdoors, shared laughter with friends, and the lively companionship of his spirited dog Ajax and his two kittens, Nyx and Circe. Together, they remind him daily that wellness is as much about joy and play as it is about discipline. Whether designing new motifs or celebrating small victories, Chad brings a spirit of care and determination that inspires those around him to chase their own sky.

Blessing Orakwue
Blessing joined Chase Your Sky after completing her apprenticeship with Ethan, bringing a thoughtful curiosity and increasing confidence in her voice. Earlier in her career, she often held back her ideas, choosing caution over expression. Working within the Chase Your Sky environment encouraged her to become more open, engaged, and intentional in her contributions.
Her connection to wellness is personal. Experiencing loss early on made her more aware of the importance of caring for her health. At the same time, years of changing expectations around body image taught her that wellness cannot be measured by appearance alone. These experiences shaped a more balanced, compassionate approach to wellbeing.
Today, Blessing leads by example—applying Chase Your Sky’s principles in daily life through consistency, self-awareness, and sustainable habits. Her work reflects the belief that real progress is quiet, personal, and built over time.

The Duchess
The Duchess is more than a companion — she is a muse woven into the living lore of Chase Your Sky. Her playful chaos, sudden bursts of energy, and quiet moments of presence have inspired motifs, rituals, and even game mechanics. From zoomies across the keyboard to curling up during creative sessions, The Duchess reminds us that wellness is not only about discipline, but also about joy, spontaneity, and connection.
Her influence even sparked what the team calls The Duchess Protocol — a creative framework born from her unpredictable interruptions. Instead of treating disruptions as setbacks, the protocol reframes them as checkpoints: opportunities to pause, reset, and re-enter with fresh energy. Whether it’s a cat sprint scattering notes across the floor or a sudden demand for attention mid-design, The Duchess teaches that momentum is built not by resisting chaos, but by folding it into the story.
She has become a living symbol of the Chase Your Sky philosophy: that even amid challenges, sparks of play and wonder are waiting to be embraced. Whether appearing in lore popups, inspiring checkpoint rituals, or simply keeping the team company, The Duchess embodies the spirit of chasing your sky with curiosity and delight.

The Start of Chase Your Sky
Fast-forward about a year. Ethan had lost close to 90 pounds, and his photography skills were getting quite sharp. Still working from home, he would sneak in walks whenever he could. Getting up early to try and get a couple of miles in before work started had the additional benefit of catching some of the better natural lighting for his photography, one of the golden hours, as they say.
One morning, the sky was particularly brilliant. Lost in walking and searching to capture nature’s brilliance, Ethan wandered much further than he intended. It was when he opened his phone’s messages to send his mother some of the morning shots he noticed the time. Ethan had a meeting in 30 minutes and meandered nearly two miles from home. As he changed his tack and quickly headed home, he responded to his mother, telling her what predicament he had created himself.
Ethan’s mother reacted with a laugh and told him he better hurry home. He acknowledged this and told her he could sometimes get lost all day chasing the sky. Ethan didn’t know it just then, but that would be the start of Chase Your Sky. Let us help you Chase Your Sky.
